What is the Red River Region?
The primary purpose of Narcotics Anonymous is to carry the message of recovery to the addict who still suffers. So that our groups can remain focused on this primary purpose, we have formed a service structure. Several groups pool there resources and form an area, areas join together to form a region, regions combine to make a forum or assembly, and these forums or assemblies comprise the World Service Conference. These service bodies take care of business such as printing and distributing meeting schedules and other literature, administering phone hotlines, and providing fellowship activities such as conventions. The Red River Region Service Committee is one such body made up of the OklaTex and Trail of Tears Areas of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma. We only keep what we have by giving it away.
